Quietly gliding over the water passing forested hills and farm fields you will often spot a variety of wildlife including the majestic bald eagle. Self guided canoe/kayak trips range from 2 to 4 hours or all day if you like. Your trip begins at our easy access to the Rock River and takes you to Castle Rock State Park, Grand Detour, IL or Lowell Park at Dixon, IL. Reservations are suggested but not always necessary. Reservations may be made by calling 815-732-9999 or 815-978-1896. Weekday canoe/kayak rentals are available by reservation for groups of five or more canoes or kayaks. Canoe Rental Rates To Castle Rock - 2 hours $35 To Grand Detour - 4 hours $50 Rate based on 2 people per canoe - additional people @ $5 each. We have 3 & 4 person canoes. Fishing Boat Rental Fishing boats with motors and safety equipment will soon be available for rent by half day, full day or a weekend. 16 ft Flat Bottom equipped with a 15 or 20 HP motor and trailer that can be launched above the dam. $100/Day or $65/Half day 2 day rate $160 16 ft Flat Bottom equipped with a 6 HP motor. $80/Day or $50/Half day 2 day rate $130 14 ft Flat Bottom equipped with a 6 HP motor. $80/Day or $50/Half day 2 day rate $130 Day Rate is from 8 AM till 6 PM Two Day Rate is from 8 AM till 6 PM the following day
